What Is It?
A diffuser is actually some contraption you attach onto your blow dryer that disperses air from the dyer directly onto your hair in an evenly distributed way. Diffusing helps to minimize frizz, adds some volume, and decreases the drying time.
Tips to Diffusing
1. Use low to medium heat ( I personally use the cool setting) and airspeed.
Using the dryer on a low setting stops the hair from drying out and frizzing.
2. You should start with the roots of your hair. Let your ends air-dry naturally
3. Of course do this tactic on WET but make sure it's not drip or down in the place.
4. Some people suggest waiting for your curls to set before diffusing
I just discovered diffusing for wash-n-gos and I'll tell you this is an awesome method. Especially, when you don't want to walk out looking like a wet dog.
P.S. DevaCurl has a really good diffusing mechanism and when the method became popular the naturalistas were on a craze. If you don't have that coin (like me ) you can always find a diffusing attachment on Amazon for the low. Sometimes dryers actually come with the attachment too. <3
