IS THERE AN ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM...

ALRIGHTY.... this blog post, I'm going to say RIGHT NOW , will either be loved or hated on BUT I feel as though this discussion needs to be had. SO HERE WE GO!

Some may or may not know but this blog site is about natural hair ... some also may or may not have caught on to the various ethnicities on our A E S T H E T I C S page. Some of these ethnicities include women of color, Asians, Caucasians, and everything else that may be under the sun. Now for all the women who may not realize this we have made the natural hair journey a trend in society, now which particular community you may ask has this become a trend in .... OH , The B L A C K community.

Not until recently have I realized how the black community has coined this journey and made it only for us. In which I feel after coming out of my own ignorance, that it is not just for the black community. According to liveabout.com, Natural hair is defined as hair whose textures hasn't been altered by chemical straighteners, including relaxers and texturizes. So really everybody's hair is natural until they chemically alter it and this includes EVERYONE and EVERY RACE. Let's not put all the babys out there in the corner alright (dirty dancing reference). Let's embrace our other natural sisters of various ethnicities and open up this STRUGGLE to everyone. At the end of the day we all struggling together being naturally lost. <3 Naturally Lost will promote natural hair for ALL natural women no matter what the ethnicity is, as long as you keep it natural boo!

P.S. If we still keeping it real those hair type charts that we constantly reference to and use in the natural hair community include type 1 and 2 in which I'm almost certain is not the textures you commonly see on Black women. 👀 so if it ain't us, who is it....
